Stop attack on green jobs and affordable solar in PA – Solar for All

Protect fair credit for solar in Pennsylvania!

Act Now: Submit this form to tell legislators to strike the NEM (net metering) amendment from HB 362

House Bill 362 would authorize the spending of Solar for All money so that thousands of income-qualified Pennsylvanians could access solar for the first time.

Right now, Pennsylvania solar owners are credited fairly on their electric bills for the extra energy their panels produce. This is called net metering. But when House Bill 362 was voted out of the PA House Energy Committee, an amendment was tacked on that could end Pennsylvania’s net metering policy. Even more worryingly, more than three-quarters of Representatives in the House voted to approve it.

Solar advocates know that net metering is an essential part of a successful solar energy program and must remain in place, especially once a Solar For All program is enabled.

Personalize your message

If you’re a solar homeowner: Share how net metering in Pennsylvania makes it so that you can afford to go solar. Explain what else you can do with the money you save on your electric bills.

If you’re a solar installer: Explain how the weakening of net metering would devastate the solar industry, and could result in the loss of many jobs in residential solar.

If you’re a solar supporter: Share why you believe solar should be accessible to every Pennsylvanian, regardless of income. Explain that more solar means cost savings for consumers, more jobs, and a more reliant grid.
