The New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice and Cooper River Indivisible is sponsoring a peaceful event in front of ICE HQ:

About this event
In 2021, New Jersey passed a law banning ALL immigrant detention in the Garden State. Since then, it’s been challenged by private prison company CoreCivic and overturned. But New Jersey fought back and appealed. Now, the oral arguments for that appeal have finally been scheduled for May 1st at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia.
Join New Jersey Alliance For Immigrant Justice and our movement partners from across New Jersey and beyond to PACK THE COURT and kick ICE out of our communities.
We will maintain a presence in Philadelphia outside the courthouse all day. Sign up to RSVP and to receive updates about specifics for the day. You can show up at any time and spend as long outside the courthouse as you are willing. This is a fluid schedule so please stay tuned to your inbox if changes occur.
From the Federal Unionists Network:
We are still feeling energized after gathering with dozens of workers and community members for a packed FUN Northeast Town Hall last week – scroll to the end for a pic! As our speakers reminded all of us, we are in the midst of a national emergency, and it is time for us to come together to demonstrate our collective power. If you missed it, you can catch fed worker Tee sharing why her job is essential in this video.

May Day is almost here, and you’re invited to join NTEU, the Federal Unionists Network and dozens of unions and community groups for May Day 2025: For the workers, NOT the billionaires!
We’ll meet on Thursday, May 1 at 3pm at the Wells Fargo Building at Broad and Sansom. At 3:30 we will march to City Hall to join thousands of workers and community members at a rally where members of Philly FUN and Senator Bernie Sanders will speak. Look for the giant hot pink SOLIDARITY banner to find us. Register here or just show up.
You can also stop by our weekly #LetUsWork info picket on Friday from 5-6pm at 123 S. Broad St. The info picket is a great way to connect with other federal workers and community allies while highlighting the important work of regulators like the CFPB. And, it’s fun! Register here or just show up.
In solidarity,
Philly Federal Unionists Network
