Fridays @ Fetterman’s is urging our supporters to attend a screening of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, followed by a panel discussion, on Monday evening May 19th at the Ritz 5, 214 Walnut Street in Philadelphia. The event — co-sponsored by the Prayers for Peace Alliance, IfNotNow Philly, and the Center for Jewish Nonviolence — is a fundraiser in support of the Masafer Yatta Solidarity Fund. Fridays @ Fetterman’s has endorsed this timely educational and humanitarian aid event. |
No Other Land tells the story of Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist, who for half a decade films his community of Masafer Yatta being destroyed by Israel’s occupation, as he builds an unlikely alliance with an Israeli journalist who wants to join his fight. No Other Land is an unflinching account of a community’s mass expulsion and acts as a creative resistance to apartheid and a search for a path towards equality and justice. |
