The people of Philadelphia are conducting a People’s Tribunal to hold the United States Government, the U.S. Executive Branch, the U.S. Congress, & U.S. Senator John Fetterman and other designated members of Pennsylvania’s U.S. Congressional Delegation Accountable for Genocide & War Crimes in Gaza.

King Downing, Lead Attorney for the Accountability Team
for the Philadelphia People’s Tribunal
King Downing is an attorney and the founder of the Human Rights-Racial Justice Center. King is the Director of the New York Healing Justice Program of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). He is also the former national coordinator of the ACLU’s Campaign Against Racial Profiling. King has extensive experience serving on legal teams for People’s Tribunals, including the International Tribunal on US Human Rights Abuses Against Black, Brown and Indigenous Peoples (2021); International Tribunal on US Aggression in Africa and in the United States (2012); People’s Tribunal on U.S. Response to Hurricane Katrina (2007); and War Crimes Tribunal (2007).

Lewis Webb, Jr., Attorney Advisor to the Philadelphia People’s Tribunal
Lewis Webb Jr. is the U.S. Peacebuilding Director for the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). After serving as a prosecuting attorney for 12 years, Lewis decided to become an agent for ending the school-to-prison pipeline that had transformed the United States into an “incarceration nation.” As the Director of the Healing Justice Program for AFSC, Lewis developed creative strategies for healing our young people, their families, and their communities, rather than destroying their futures through incarceration and its lifelong stigma. Lewis holds degrees in philosophy and law and has many years of experience as an attorney, educator, and community organizer for peace and social justice.

Jonathan Kuttab, Principal Legal Advisor to the Philadelphia People’s Tribunal
Jonathan Kuttab is the co-founder of the Palestinian human rights group, Al-Haq, and co-founder of Nonviolence International. He currently holds the position of executive director of Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA). A well-known international human rights attorney, Jonathan practices law in the United States, Palestine, and Israel. He was the head of the Legal Committee that negotiated the Cairo Agreement of 1994 between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization. Jonathan’s articles have appeared in the Middle East Institute, Arab News, Arab Center Washington DC, Al Jazeera, and other national and international publications.
