Canvass in Support of Philadelphia Community Jail Oversight Board

Over the past 4 years, ALC and other community organizations have been fighting to shine the light on the Philadelphia prison crisis. Human beings are dying, being abused and neglected… With no accountability for the mental, physical, and emotional abuse inflicted on prisoners. Starting on March 28, 2025, we will be distributing handouts and literature to the public. Join us as we engage, motivate, and inspire people to support oversight for the county prisons.

We’ll be starting the first canvass for the Oversight Board legislation on March 28th, starting at 11:00.

We plan to begin outside of  City Hall, passing out literature and talking to people in support of the oversight board. Thereafter, we’ll be passing out literature at the City Hall subway station.  We need to have five to ten people who are willing to come out with me and canvass the area, talk to people, pass out literature, and answer questions from the public.
