We must call our Members of Congress and tell them to take a stand against the Trump/Musk coup. Musk and Trump are usurping the legislative branch’s power by freezing funds allocated by them. This is a clear move to usurp the power granted to Congress in Article I , Sections 1 and 8, of the U.S. Constitution.
So when Trump/Musk try to shutter agencies that can only be terminated by Congress’s legislation, you would think that Congress Members would be up in arms and fighting back. We need to make sure they do that.
For our all-Dem Philadelphia representatives we need to:
— Demand they vote NO on any funding bill that doesn’t include ironclad protections against Trump’s financial coup.
— Tell them to hold hearings and subpoena Musk and Vought to force Republicans to defend them on the record.
— Make them commit to using procedural tools to slow down House business and expose GOP complicity.
And for good measure, tell them you are looking for leadership from them and they need to start showing it.
