Peacemakers,This Friday (7.4.25), we will conduct our 84th consecutive peace vigil for Gaza outside of Senator Fetterman’s Philadelphia office at 200 Chestnut Street. As we do on the first Friday of every month, volunteers from Fridays @ Fetterman’s will read 200 names of children who have been killed in Israel’s U.S.-funded genocidal war in Gaza.If you are available, help us mark this Independence Day by participating in public dissent over our government’s complicity with war crimes and genocide in Gaza.![]() ![]() Why do we read their names? Even for activists, it is far too easy for the mass death and destruction in Gaza to be reduced to numerical abstractions At least 56,000 killed Over 17,000 children killed Nearly 135,000 people injured More than 2 million people displaced from their homesWe read the names to remember their individual humanity. We also send the names of the children who we remember on first Fridays to Senator Fetterman, so that our senator has an opportunity to reflect on his personal responsibility for their deaths. ![]() F@F banner for first FridaysJOIN US THIS COMING FRIDAY…AND EVERY FRIDAY.
