Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are at it again—this time, they’re going after veterans’ healthcare. A leaked plan from the Trump-Musk camp exposed their intention to slash over 80,000 jobs from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This means fewer doctors, nurses, and support staff to care for veterans like us. Fewer benefits. Longer wait times. More veterans are left behind.

This is an outright betrayal.

We fought for a country that promised to care for us when we came home. But Trump and his cronies are gutting the VA, forcing veterans into for-profit healthcare schemes, and abandoning the very people who risked everything to serve. And when confronted about firing veterans, Trump’s attorney dared to say, “Perhaps they’re not fit to have a job at this moment.”

We refuse to stay silent.
