POWER Interfaith Is Holding Town Halls on Affordable Housing

Philadelphia is in the middle of a housing crisis.

Across the city, everyday people are facing skyrocketing rents, unjust evictions, unsafe housing conditions, predatory development, and the looming threat of displacement – and are feeling it every day.

These aren’t just headlines—they’re happening to our neighbors, our congregants, our families.

The good news? Change is possible – and it starts with us.

We have the power to fight back.

That’s why this May and June, POWER Interfaith is hosting a series of Affordable Housing Town Halls across the city with council members. These gatherings will bring together residents, faith leaders, and Philly city council members to share stories, discuss solutions, and gather critical information to build our agenda for affordable housing in Philadelphia.

Because Philadelphia deserves bold, just solutions to its housing crisis.

Whether you’ve been personally impacted by housing injustice or simply believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home—we need you in the room.

These are spaces to speak your truth, build community, and organize for the policies our people need.

Find the town hall closest to you and join us:

This is just the beginning.

These town halls are the first step in a larger city-wide campaign to build a united, powerful movement for housing justice in Philadelphia. By coming together in our neighborhoods—sharing our truths, naming the harm, and organizing in faith—we’re laying the foundation for sustained action that reaches every corner of the city.

Together, we will hold our leaders accountable, push for bold policies, and demand that Philly puts people over profit. This is how we build a Philadelphia where everyone can thrive.

Your story. Your presence. Your voice.
Together, we can turn testimony into transformation.

Join us to proclaim: housing is a human right.

In faith and solidarity,

Lilah Saber
Philadelphia Organizing Director
