He also gave us real hope and ways to act!

We know that many of you who signed up for Prof. Snyder’s talk were not able to join us because Zoom hit capacity. Zoom requires us to pay for each attendee in advance, so we have to estimate how many will sign up by showtime and actually attend based on past experience. We are a nonprofit and can’t afford to pay for thousands of no-shows. But this time, signups more than doubled right before the event, and (good news for democracy!) we just had way more attendees than anticipated.
We definitely don’t want this to happen again. In these times, it’s just too important for us to be together. So we are in the process of renegotiating our Zoom contract to account for the increased engagement and participation we’ve seen since the inauguration.
At the end of Prof. Snyder’s talk, we told you of two important ways you can follow his suggestions – joining a local Red Wine & Blue TroubleNation group and building your local network by Rallying Your Squad.
